According to the study, Labrador Correctional Centre (LCC) in Happy Valley-Goose Bay had the highest proportion of Indigenous inmates, at 88.5 per cent. “I guess with the high numbers in the Labrador Correctional Centre, it's a bit hard to extend support to other provincial facilities. It shows Indigenous people in Newfoundland and Labrador are incarcerated at much higher rates.
