A patient died as he reportedly jumped off the fifth floor of a building at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) on Tuesday. The deceased was Md Rubel Gazi, 22, son of Rabiullah Gazi of Sadipur Konabari village in Sonargaon upazila of Narayanganj. DMCH sources said Rubel was admitted to the medicine department of the hospital on Sunday. He was taken to the DMCH on Sunday for treatment, she said. Sub-inspector Bachchu Mia of DMCH police camp said Rubel suddenly jumped from the balcony on the fifth floor of the DMCH new building in the afternoon.
