Our Special CorrespondentCalcutta: Education minister Partha Chatterjee urged the agitating BA and BSc Part-I students of Calcutta University on Thursday to concentrate on their studies so they can perform better in the next exam. A large number of unsuccessful students have been demonstrating over the past few days, demanding that the university find a way to promote them. In the BA honours and general exams, the pass percentage has dipped from nearly 65 to 43. The state government has already expressed its concern over the sharp fall in the pass percentage. But the students should focus on their studies instead of spoiling the academic environment of the university," Chatterjee said in the Assembly.
