BUKIT MINYAK: American medical device and life sciences contract manufacturer Paramit Corporation today announced the official opening of its new 162,000 square foot facility located here on mainland Penang. The company has been present in Penang since five years ago. The site uses canopies of trees to create shading and in-slab cooling to reduce power requirements. In addition, it incorporates gardens and waterfalls on multiple levels throughout the building to help cool the space. The event was officiated by chief minister Lim Guan Eng, in the presence of United States Embassy deputy chief of mission Edgard Kagan.
