KUALA LUMPUR: Parliament Speaker Tan Sri Pandikar Amin Mulia today has challenged DAP's Segambut MP Lim Lip Eng not to enter the Dewan Rakyat whenever he is chairing the sittings. This, he said is because the lawmaker has no respect for his position as the Speaker as accorded by the Federal Constitution. It was reported that Lim was booted out of Parliament’s Special Chamber on Oct 25 after he called Pandikar “a disgrace”. Lim said Pandikar had “lectured” him before he had the chance to read out the question on 2017 Budget’s allocation for Kuala Lumpur City Hall. In the same statement, Pandikar said there was no need for him to apologise to the Opposition lawmakers who walked out of the Dewan Rakyat during the tabling of 2017 Budget on Oct 21.
