MANILA, Philippines — As the number of poor Filipinos declined in the first half of 2018, Malacañang on Wednesday vowed to continue its work to achieve the 14 percent poverty incidence target by the end of President Rodrigo Duterte’s term in 2022. In a press briefing, the Philippine Statistic Authority (PSA) reported that poverty incidence among Filipinos in the first half of 2018 was estimated at 21 percent, lower than the 27.6 percent recorded in the first half of 2015.
