DepEd said that for the 2019 Palarong Pambansa to be hosted by Davao City, the country’s premier national sporting event will introduce two side events: the “Larong Pinoy” and the Sports Heroes Day. With theme “Shaping the Future Through Sports,” the 2019 Palarong Pambansa will be held from April 27 to May 4. DepEd’s Palarong Pambansa has also been “promoting physical education and sports as an integral part” of the basic education curriculum and is being held as an “affirmation to its commitment to develop the potentials of the youth to become responsible and globally competitive citizens.”
