LAHORE: Former finance minister Dr Hafeez Pasha on Tuesday said that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government is committed to its promise of reviving the economy and this takes precedence over personalities in the government. He said this in conversation with veteran journalist, senior analyst and Pakistan Today Editor Arif Nizami on Channel 92’s programme ‘Ho Kya Raha Hai?’. Referring to former finance minister Asad Umar’s dismissal, he inquired Pasha about Prime Minister Imran Khan’s decision of laying off the most noted player of his team during important International Monetary Fund (IMF) negotiations. In the same programme, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Malik Ahmad Khan said that everyone had their own role in the party and collective effort kept them afloat. On this, Arif Nizami remarked that Shehbaz Sharif is losing relevance in the party.
