The trend continues tonight and through Sunday with colder (albeit seasonable) temperatures and a couple of chances of some light snow. Light snow showers remain a possibility, but the best environment for them will be well to the north and west of Washington. Still can’t rule out some light snow, especially for parts of Frederick, Carroll and Baltimore counties. Cold, with low temperatures ranging from the upper 20s outside of metro spots to the low 30s in the cities themselves. Notable Day in Weather History: The end of January is usually a very active time for storms.
