For years Moscow has complained that Washington does not treat it as an equal. But in a statement released after President Trump and Russian Vladimir Putin talked by phone for the first time , the tone was decidedly upbeat. They also highlighted the priority of joint efforts in the fight against the main threat -- international terrorism. Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump agreed to organize a possible date and venue for their personal meeting. The leaders agreed to maintain regular personal contacts.
