Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will inaugurate the 'Food Friendly Programme for the Ultra-Poor' in Kurhigram's Chilmari. The ultra-poor families will be able to up to buy 30 kg rice a month from March to November under the programme. The government has allocated 750,000 tonnes rice for the programme, especially for poor women, widows and women with disabilities. The prime minister will address a rally at Thanahat AU Pilot High School premises after opening the programme.
