The detainees are Md Shariful Islam, his wife Marjiya Akter Sumi, Md Aminul Islam and his wife Nahid Sultana, RAB 2 official Major Mohammad Ali told Dhaka tribune. RAB’s Legal and Media Wing Assistant Director Mizanur Rahman confirmed the matter to the Dhaka Tribune on Wednesday morning. He said: “Acting on a tip-off, a team of RAB 2 conducted a drive in different areas of Dhaka and Narayanganj from Tuesday night till the early hours of today [Wednesday] and detained them while they were preparing to flee aborad.”He said details regarding the matter will be disclosed in a press briefing later in the day.
