The government has appointed outgoing Inspector General of Police Javed Patwary as the ambassador to Saudi Arabia. Meanwhile, a BSS report said, outgoing IGP Dr Mohammad Javed Patwary paid a courtesy call on President M Abdul Hamid at Bangabhaban on Monday afternoon. During the meeting, the IGP apprised the President of overall activities of the police force, especially various development initiatives, undertaken during his tenure, President’s Press Secretary Joynal Abedin said. The outgoing police chief also expressed his gratitude to the President for providing all-out supports in discharging his duties. Appreciating different people-oriented activities of police, President Hamid hoped that the police force would continue to provide their pro-people activities in days to come.
