PETALING JAYA: The women's fours team of Nur Ain Nabila, Nur Fidrah Nor, Nurul Alyani Jamil and Nor Hashimah Ismail have won Malaysia's first gold medal at the SEA Games in lawn bowls. They beat the team from the Philippines in the final at the National Lawn Bowls Centre in Bukit Kiara Thursday. Earlier, the men's fours team of Zulhimie Redzuan, Izzat Shameer Dzulkeple, Safuan Said and Daeng Dhadyry Dahasry settled for silver. Overwhelming favourites Malaysia are expected to sweep the bulk of the total eight gold medals on offer in lawn bowls for the men and women's singles, pairs, triples and fours events.
