KUALA LUMPUR: The ringgit will continue strengthening to achieve RM4.20 mark against US Dollar by year end, on the of the recent good news such as higher foreign reserves and better-than-expected economy report. The ringgit was higher against the US dollar yesterday as the greenback retreated against major world currencies, and economists view the strengthening ringgit indicating improved investor sentiment towards the local currency. “The GDP growth numbers are expected to be upward bias. "We remain optimistic that the ringgit will gradually strengthen to RM4.20 against US Dollar by year end,” he added. “The 5.6 per cent year-on-year GDP growth in the first quarter of this year was clearly beyond expectation.
