The online vaccine portal allows people to claim a false age when they register, it has emerged. The portal, which opened to 68-year-olds yesterday, will allow people to make mistakes and even enter a wrong age. This could prove crucial as the vaccine priority list is currently determined in descending order of people’s ages. However, the HSE insists that paperwork and proof of age will be strictly required when a person attends for a vaccination. Recipients of a jab will have to show proof of age when attending for a vaccine.
