KARACHI: Mukesh Kumar Chawla, Sindh Minister for Excise, Taxation and Narcotics (ET & NC) has said that all officers and officials need to work hard to achieve their tax targets. It was the need of the hour to accelerate the recovery of taxes and especially in term of property tax collection, he added. “Measures should be taken for the recovery of outstanding dues and a regular report should also be maintained in this regard properly,” said Chawla. Secretary Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Control Abdul Haleem Shaikh, Director General Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui and Regional Directors also attended the meeting. On this occasion, Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui briefed the provincial minister regarding the recovery of taxes.
