The toddler had no vital signs when emergency crews arrived at the home east of Ottawa around 1 p.m. on Friday afternoon, police said. No foul play is suspected after a two-year-old boy drowned in a backyard pool Alfred-Plantagenet, Ont., on Canada Day, according to the Hawkesbury detachment of Ontario Provincial Police. An autopsy has been scheduled at the Ottawa Hospital on Monday. Police are investigating.
