A nursery was forced to drop its vegan-only menu after parents were 'upset' because they had not been consulted. The German Kindergarten which has branches in Herne Hill and Dulwich introduced a plant-based menu in the kindergarten in what was deemed an 'unexpected surprise' by parents. Bettina Sebek, 46, director of the nursery wrote to apologise to parents over the decision to go plant-based without consultation. She added how there were 'greater concerns' regarding a vegan menu than she had first realised. The nursery director said parents were 'upset' and so they decided to keep dairy and eggs on the menu.
