WASHINGTON—A top Republican ally of President Trump in the House of Representatives signaled to the Justice Department that he may join with congressional Democrats in voting to subpoena evidence gathered by special counsel Robert Mueller. Rep. Devin Nunes—the top Republican on the House Intelligence Committee—joined committee chairman Adam Schiff (D, Calif.) in a bipartisan letter late last month demanding that the Justice Department turn over evidence gathered by Mr. Mueller related to intelligence matters.
