SUBANG: The Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM)'s newly-elected president Datuk Seri Norza Zakaria (pic) has revealed ambitious plans to take Malaysian badminton to greater heights. On Saturday, the 51-year-old Norza was unanimously elected as the president during BAM's annual general meeting. He immediately relinquished his post as the National Sports Institute (NSI) chairman and the Kuala Lumpur Badminton Association president. As the new BAM president, I'll be more focused on badminton now," said Norza, who is also the Olympic Council of Malaysia (OCM) deputy president. After chairing his first council meeting, Norza announced the setting up of BAM's new National Badminton Foundation (NBF).
