Northborough police say two men arrested were part of organized theft ring

NORTHBOROUGH – Two men police said had more than $14,000 worth of clothing stolen from numerous Dick’s Sporting Goods stores appear to be part of an organized retail theft ring. I’m not sure if they were going to be selling it online or sending it overseas.”There are 10 Dick’s Sporting Goods in Massachusetts, including the one in Northborough, as well as locations in Natick, Dedham, Worcester, Millbury and Leominster. On Friday, store employees saw the New Jersey man go into the store, fill up a large bag with clothing and leave the store without paying. A spokesman for Dick’s Sporting Goods could not be reached for comment. On Monday, the New Jersey man was ordered held on $500 bail at his Westborough District Court arraignment.
