Mildred Newsome, 47, from Fayetteville, was taken into custody on May 19 following a month-long investigation into the alleged incident. The victim, a Spectrum employee in his 30s, told police that he arrived at Newsome’s apartment in the 1100 block of Marlborough Road on April 20 to fix her cable service. The man, however, did not heed her warning and went to the police immediately after the encounter. Newsome, who works at a nursing and rehabilitation center, was released from jail after posting $10,000 bond, reported the Charlotte Observer.
