NEW DELHI : Amidst ongoing protests against Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s official NaMo app on Monday announced the launch of Twitter outreach campaign with hashtag #IndiaSuppportsCAA. “#IndiaSupportsCAA because CAA is about giving citizenship to persecuted refugees and not about taking anyone’s citizenship away," read the tweet. The official Twitter handle of ruling government’s political party Bhartiya Janta Party (@BJP4India) has been in overdrive tweeting infographics busting the myths through Myth Buster CAA, 2019. On 24 December, an awareness campaign targeted at students protesting against the Citizenship (Amendment) Act (CAA) and the National Register of Citizens (NRC) has surfaced online.
