DHAKA, Oct 06, 2024 (BSS) – Information and Broadcasting Adviser Md Nahid Islam today urged all to be vocal against any kind of propaganda centering Bangladesh, saying that the recent student-people uprising should be properly portrait in the media. “Disinformation is being carried out in different international media including in Indian media centering this movement (student-people uprising),” he said. Nahid, also in-charge of Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology, was addressing a seminar titled ‘The Cross-Border Spread of Misinformation in South Asia’ at a city hotel. He said that attempts are being made to establish such propaganda in the international arena, which is not expected at all. Professor Salimullah Khan and ICT Division Secretary Shish Haider Chowdhury spoke at the seminar, among others.
