GAZIPUR, Nov 17: The National University has announced that written tests will be reintroduced for admissions to its honours programme in the upcoming academic session.This decision aims to improve the quality of education and the standards of degrees across its affiliated institutions. "Those who have passed the HSC [Higher Secondary Certificate] exams this year will now have to take a written test for admission," said the university's Vice Chancellor ASM Amanullah during a gathering held on Saturday morning in Bogura's Shibganj Upazila, with participation from students, teachers, and local dignitaries.Earlier, admissions to the National University were based on the results of the Secondary School Certificate, or SSC, and HSC exams.The VC also discussed plans to enhance the quality of degrees offered by the university and to further develop the industry-academia connection for students.—bdnews24.com
