Speaking to GhanaWeb after monitoring the voting process, Ms. Abayage said, "I haven't done badly as a regional minister. I'm in this game to win and I'm very certain that when the votes are counted after 1 pm, we (herself and team) are winning this election," Ms. Abayage stated. Ms. Abayage stated that her win would boost the chances of the New Patriotic Party in the constituency. "I'm going to win and when I win, I will go further to win the Parliamentary seat and win the Presidency in the constituency for the first time".
