ISLAMABAD: The anti-graft body in the country will soon launch a probe into the corruption allegations regarding contracts awarded by Captain (retd) Safdar. The son-in-law of the ex-PM Nawaz Sharif is accused of Rs3bn corruption. The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Chairman Justice (retd) Javed Iqbal himself ordered the inquiry into the case. Justice (retd) Iqbal vowed that the inquiry into petitions against Capt (retd) Safdar will be transparent, as all standards of merit and law will be maintained. Safdar, Maryam Nawaz and Nawaz Sharif reappeared in the accountability court over corruption references.
