Just before the first lockdown, his parents Gemma and Scott were given the devastating news that their son had a brain tumour. Gemma had rushed Riley to A&E when he started convulsing one day after school. Because of its location and the high risks involved, the surgeons could only remove 40 per cent of the tumour safely. He’s been off school since January but he’s hoping to start some virtual lessons next week.
