Croydon, Richmond-Upon-Thames, Kingston-upon-Thames and Sutton experienced some of the biggest house prices increases anywhere in the UK this year. Prices in Edinburgh rose 6%, corresponding to an extra £15,581, but Aberdeen in the north and Falkirk in central Scotland saw house prices drop by 1.4% (£2,761) and 0.8% (£1,484) respectively.
