The Taita Taveta county water shortage will end before the end of the year, Governor John Mruttu has said. Taita Taveta supplies all the water used in Mombasa county. Mombasa county gets its water fro Mzima Springs, which are in Taita Taveta. Mruttu said, however, Kenya Power has put up a substation in the area and the areas will get water before the end of July. The governor said there is no electricity to pump water to Maungu and Taru.
