Authorities are calling on motorists to slow down as icy conditions prove hazardous in the Mackenzie District. Sub-zero temperatures and icy roads have prompted authorities to warn motorists to take extreme care in the Mackenzie District. Multiple crashes were reported in the district on Monday, as police issued warnings about black ice and urged motorists to drive to conditions. A Police spokesperson said three motorists came to grief on black ice in the area on Monday morning. Motorists were advised to avoid any unnecessary travel, and those travelling were urged to slow down and drive to the conditions.
