A large window to McIver and Veitch was smashed and a dirtbike was stolen during a burglary late Sunday night. Burglars took off with a bike and damaged several others after using a vehicle to smash into New Zealand's oldest motorcycle dealership. The incident happened at McIver and Veitch, the country's oldest motorcycle dealership, about 11.20pm on Sunday. Senior Sergeant Craig Dinnissen said a large sliding door at the side entrance to the the Crawford St store was smashed in an apparent ramraid. The vehicle damaged some bikes on display in the store and a KTM worth $16,500 was taken.
