The incident occurred early Sunday in the Boithakhali area, said Badda Police Station OC Wazed Ali. Yasmin, 38, died from burn wounds while undergoing treatment in hospital. Her two children Amanullah, 11, and Sanjida, 8, have been admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for treatment. Amanullah has suffered burns to 30 percent of his body and Sanjida has burns on 28 percent of her body, the hospital police outpost’s Sub-Inspector Md Bachchu Miah. The cause of the fire has not been confirmed, but fire service officials believe it may have been an electric malfunction.
