Earlier, 67 bills were passed in the House to turn the ordinances, released during the interim government regime, into permanent laws. Two bills were passed on 5th April, while seven bills on 6th April, 14 bills on 7th April, 13 bills on 8th April and 31 bills on 9th April. However, 91 bills were finally passed in totality in the House to turn the ordinances into permanent laws within the stipulated 30 days in line with the Article 93 of Constitution. The 24 bills include the Narayanganj Development Authority Bill, 2026, Barishal Development Authority Bill, 2026, Mymensingh Development Authority Bill, 2026, Cumilla Development Authority Bill, 2026, Rangpur Development Authority Bill, 2026, the Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (Amendment) Bill, 2026 and the July Uprising Memorial Museum Bill, 2026, the Bangladesh Forest Industries Development Corporation Bill, 2026 and the Wildlife (Conservation and Protection) Bill, 2026. The bills also include the Deposit Protection Bill, 2026, Excises and Salt Bill, 2026, Value Added Tax and Supplementary Duty (Amendment) Bill, 2026, Bangladesh Bank (Amendment) Bill, 2026, Grameen Bank (Amendment) Bill, 2026, the Bank Resolution Bill, 2026 and the Finance (2025-26) Fiscal Year Bill, 2026, the Dhaka Central University Bill, 2026 and University related several laws (Amendment) Bill, 2026 and the National Data Management Bill, 2026.
