The State government is considering a proposal to bring Model Schools under the umbrella of School Education, Minister for Education A. Suresh has said. Efforts were being made to develop Model Schools into Centres of Excellence, he said. Mr. Narasimha Reddy said Model School teachers were facing problems because of delay in receiving salaries. Mr. Ramakrishna said Model Schools were not model institutions any more. The DSC notification for teachers should be issued only after promotion of the Model School teachers, he said.
