Manufacturing, Tourism and Insurance sectors are among those that have welcomed the Sh2.26 trillion 2016-17 budget proposals by Treasury CS Henry Rotich. Another big winner is the tourism sector which received a huge Sh4.5 billion allocation for promotion activities. Tourism CS Najib Balala yesterday said the move will attract more visitors. Kenya Association of Manufacturers said the move will uplift the steel sector. VAT exemption on raw materials used in manufacturing of animal feeds has also given the sector a reason to smile.
