NASA’s anti-election protesters engaged anti-riot police in scattered running battles yesterday in Migori and Home Bay counties. Governors Cyprian Awiti (Homa Bay) and Okoth Obado (Migori) led demonstrations and a motorcade from Mbita town in Homa Bay to Isebania town in Migori. But on Monday, the Migori county IEBC offices were beehives of activities. Migori county returning officer Charles Mutai said preparations were in top gear, despite boycott calls. In Homa Bay, county returning officer Michael Kosgei said they were only waiting for ballot papers.
