The tournament which has since shifted from its traditional 10-aside format to a Sevens tournament has attracted 16 teams. Newly formed Buru Buru RFC (Nairobi) are in Pool “C” with Menengai Oilers, Kitale RFC and Moi University.In Pool “D” sits Kenya Cup II side University of Eldoret, Webuye, Kapsabet and Eldoret RFC. Though not incorporated in the local Sevens circuit,the Machakos event has managed to attract all the top sides in the country. MKU Kakamega have been drawn in Pool “B” alongside Shieywe, Moi Annex and Kenya Ports Authority Eldoret. EA Breweries support the tournament with Sh2mThe sixth edition of the Masaku international Sevens kicks of today (Friday) at Kenyatta stadium, Machakos town and runs through to Sunday with all the top local teams having confirmed participation.
