Manchester man arrested in Tilton, charged with possession of heroin


TILTON — A 23-year-old Manchester man was arrested Thursday, Oct. 13, in Tilton by members of the Attorney General's Drug Task Force, the Franklin Police Department and the Tilton Police Department, according to New Hampshire Attorney General Gordon J. MacDonald, Franklin Police Chief David B. Goldstein and Tilton Police Chief Robert L. Cormier. Christopher Romaine was charged with possession with intent to distribute heroin and conspiracy to sell heroin. Thirty "fingers" of a substance purported to be heroin were seized from the car. Police said a "finger" is approximately 10 grams of heroin, and that total seized was valued at about $9,000. At the time of his arrest, he was on bail from the 9th Circuit Court of Manchester for possession of a controlled drug and unsworn falsification stemming from an arrest on July 4.
