Man who 'died' after electric shock at New Plymouth funeral has a new outlook on life


Phil Hoskin (centre) was brought back to life after nearly being electrocuted at a funeral. Phil Hoskin "died" at a funeral. The 37-year-old musician and teacher's near-death experience occurred at the tangi for his friend's father at the Bell Block Rugby Club on March 13. He was unable to let go of the microphone and remembers making eye-contact with his friend, Josef Silich. Despite being in the midst of an electric shock, Hoskin said he still managed to find amusement watching Silich hobbling to his aid.
