Photo: FileA 25-year-old man will appear in court today with numerous charges after allegedly fleeing police in a stolen vehicle on Sunday night. A vehicle failed to stop and fled from police in Avonside at about 11.40pm, a police spokeswoman said. The vehicle was lost sight of, but was located again and road spikes were used to bring the vehicle to a stop near Main North Rd about 12.10am. The man will appear in the Christchurch District Court on charges including burglary, failing to stop, reckless driving, driving while disqualified, unlawfully taking a motor vehicle, and aggravated assault.
