(File photo)Staff were evacuated from Christchurch Airport when a discarded cigarette caused a small fire in a bathroom. Fire and Emergency New Zealand Brent Dunn said it appeared someone had dropped a cigarette butt into a rubbish bin in a bathroom in the international lounge, which caused a fire. The blaze was extinguished by airport firefighters using a hose reel. Christchurch Airport spokeswoman Yvonne Densem said no flights were leaving and no members of the public were in the area at the time of the fire.
