KOTA KINABALU: A 69-year-old man was killed when his Kota Marudu home was destroyed in a fire on Sunday. The charred remains of Yaad @ Abd Saad Enggok were found in his home following the 8.30pm fire. Sabah Fire and Rescue Department division operations chief Khatizah Rahaban said in a statement that firemen received the distress call at about 8.37pm. “The whole wooden house was already destroyed when firemen arrived,” she said. It is learnt that the victim was alone at home when the fire broke out.
