The victims are Minara Begum, 45 and Akbar Ali, 50. Miraz Uddin, 27, attacked his mother Minara with a machete on Monday morning when refused money to buy drugs. He is an addict, said Modhupur police OC Shafiqul Islam. Miraz also hacked his neighbour Akbar when he came to rescue Minara, added the OC. The bodies have been sent to the Tangail Medical College Hospital for autopsy.
