more-inA 50-year-old man allegedly committed suicide on Sunday by jumping in front of a speeding train at a metro station here, the police said. “We received a call regarding a man jumping on the tracks around 5.40 p.m. A suicide note was recovered,” said Deputy Commissioner of Police (Metro) Pankaj Singh. The police said the incident happened at Janakpuri East metro station on Sunday evening as a train bound for Noida City Centre was entering platform 1. The police said the man jumped in front of the train and sustained grievous injuries, adding that he was rushed to a nearby hospital by the CISF and metro officials. “Train services resumed in a few minutes,” the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation said.
