A 49-year-old Toronto man is facing six charges including impaired driving after allegedly stealing a car and hitting several vehicles near Union Station. Toronto police were called just before 8:30 p.m. Friday, when a man allegedly drove a speeding car along the Union Station GO bus terminal road, smashed through a barrier on Bay St., and hit a number of vehicles. An Uber driver had stopped in the area to pick up a fare when the suspect jumped into the car. An officer told the Star on Friday that the driver left the car unattended and gone into a store. Police said the suspect stopped at the Fairmount Royal York on Front St. and fled on foot before he was caught by four GO Transit officers.
