Christopher Walters, 25, was rushed to the Royal Stoke University Hospital but later died from his injuries. They were responding to reports of a man spotted wielding a hammer and allegedly damaging vehicles, Stoke-on-TrentLive reported. Three local men, aged 20, 30 and 49, were arrested and later released under investigation pending further inquiries. "An ambulance was called after the man became unresponsive and sadly death was pronounced a short time later. We have since declared an independent investigation."
