Children BANNED from playing hopscotch at new housing estate

Families at the housing development in Bishopbriggs, East Dunbartonshire, were sent a letter by property factor, Speirs Gumley, demanding children stop using the material. Kids had been using chalk to enjoy games of hopscotch in the commuter suburb. But the letter read: "I notice that children are being allowed to chalk all over the monoblock areas at the front of the development. "We want the children to be able to go out and play safely, play responsibly. He added: "We are delighted Speirs Gumley have realised the value of children having outdoor fun."
