In a story originally published by mynewsgh.com, Major Oduro alleged that the former president was unhappy with the Volta separatist group following their stance. According to the publication, Major Oduro revealed that Mr. Rawlings and former NDC National Chairman Obed Asamoah had expressed his contempt in a letter to the government. A statement released by the office of the former president and copied to www.ghanaweb.com, however, indicates that he has not made any public statement on the separatist declaration. Former President Rawlings has neither written to Government nor made any public statement on the separatist declaration.
